Marco's vibrant red this time is half Pinot Noir half Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from a new plot on the hills of San Giorgio di Perlena. Ten days on the skins for the Pinot and twenty days of carbonic maceration for Merlot and Cab. The wines aged in a mix of steel vats and glass demijohns before blending and bottling. Smoky and savoury, with scents of dark cherry, pomegranate and earth. A wine with depth and structure, to share with good friends on an afternoon barbecue.
