Fruit of a perfectly balanced vintage in Central Veneto, the Merlot grapes have been sourced from a single plot on the hills of Sarcedo, around 250 meters above sea level. The soil here is of volcanic origin - flat basalts rich in iron with the presence of silex. The grapes undergo a gentle maceration of twenty days in fiberglass, before being pressed off to old barriques for twelve months. The wine spent another couple of years in the bottle to reach the impressive finesse that is showing now. Translucent red in the glass, it is unusually delicate for the variety, with notes of violet and bitter orange. The palate is a thin layer of impeccable balance between tannins, acidity and minerals.
