We are pleased to release a couple of single-plot gems from the dynamic Marco Turco.
Growing up around the volcanic hills of Breganze in Central Veneto, during his childhood Marco learned respectful farming and artisanal winemaking from his father, practices he has perfected during years of collaboration with local farmers and winemakers. Since the beginning of his solo project in 2018, Marco has been crafting wines of distinctive character and strictly linked with their land.
This release consists of two wines produced in 2022 from single vineyards vinified and aged individually, Vespasi Vecchie Vigne and Lucifer PN. After a spring with plenty of rain, the '22 summer didn't see any rain touch the ground before the harvest, producing small sun-kissed grapes, which encouraged Marco to let the Vespaiola from the old vines gently infuse on the skins for a short time. For the Pinot Noir, the dry summer resulted in grapes with great concentration of flavours and character, wisely translated by the winemaker into a red wine of sumptuous elegance.
