After a couple of luminous days in London, we are delighted to share three new wines from the relentless vignaiolo Davide Andreatta - Il Ceo.
On the gentle hills overlooking Breganze, Davide is farming several small plots of vines up to eighty years old, planted over volcanic rocks - basalt and tufo - and glacial morainic deposits between two and three hundred metres above sea level.
A thoughtful farmer in tune with his land, Davide is increasing the volume of work with the local ancient varieties, Vespaiola in primis, Ottocai and Pedevenda. Still producing astonishing wines from Merlot, Pinot Noir and Gris, we cannot wait to put our hands to more reds from the native Groppello soon.
The new wines from the 2022 vintage, Vespri Frizzante, Togo and Vespri Orange, show purity and precision, focused on delicate fruit, lively texture and lingering salinity.
