Carricante from the vineyard planted by Gloria's father in Località Caselle, Milo, facing east at eight hundred meters above sea level. The soil here is composed of volcanic sand and stratification of lapilli, small rock fragments deposited after volcanic eruptions. After a short rest with the skins, the wine is moved to a small acacia barrel and aged nine months before bottling. The resulting wine shows a unique complexity of flavours and texture - notes of lemon blossom, bitter orange, candied ginger and dried plum uplifted by lively acidity and a gentle oxidative touch.
