A wonderful expression of this unique terroir, Nerello Mascalese and some Carricante and Catarratto from a tiny plot planted in 1940 on the southeast slope of the Etna. The grapes are de-stemmed, and the wine fermented on the skins for less than a week before being moved to glass demijohns until the following June. Superbly fresh, this bright red combines delicate aromatics and gorgeous texture.
