A typical blend of Collio: Tocai Friulano, Malvasia Istriana and Ribolla Gialla from the crus Pradis and Bosc di Sot planted between 1910 and 1960 on sandstone and marl, soils rich in limestone locally called 'Ponca' or 'Flysch'. The warm end of summer allowed a long maturation of the grapes, harvested by parcel at the end of September and stomped by feet before being moved to concrete. After a week on the skins, the wines were pressed into barrels for eleven months before being blended in concrete and bottled. Displaying hints of candied citrus and electrifying spices, Grande Waldo is a wine of exceptional intensity and length that will age for decades.
