Unusual and full of intriguing contrasts, this wine was a real surprise on our visit to Vincenzo last winter. An equal blend of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and Cabernet Sauvignon, destemmed and cofermented for two weeks on the skins. After five years in the bottle, the wine still carries a gentle spritz, combining lively acidity with warm notes of cola, bitter herbs and leather. Just a handful of bottles make it to our shores.
