New from Manlio Manganaro

February 2024

We are excited to share a blast of sunshine with the new releases from Manlio Manganaro.

Former art director and sommelier, in 2017 Manlio took over a hectare of Grillo in Campobello di Mazara, right in the southwest corner of Sicily. A luminous land battered by the Scirocco and surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, where the vines grow on the typical red soil and limestone bedrock.

In 2022, Manlio produced his iconic White Label with the usual blend of a short skin contact with a week of carbonic maceration that results in a wine full of tension, fresh and saline with ripe citrus aromatics.

Sourced from a corner of the vineyard richer in limestone in the subsoil, the impossibly complex Grey Label 2021 spent the first part of the fermentation on the skins and some stems, before being moved to a tonneaux for one year. After another year of ageing in bottle, this radiant amber wine shows a unique density and depth.

Together with these, we are happy to offer some of the White Label 2021 Manlio kindly kept in the cellar for us.
