After a weekend spent between the blue Adriatic Sea and the snowy Apennines in Abruzzo, we decided to release a little gem from the genuine and kind-hearted vignaiolo Luca Bevilacqua.
Super White ‘21, sourced from a tiny plot planted mainly with Trebbiano d’Abruzzo and a mix of local varieties on dark clay and marl. After a month on the skins and more than one year between stainless steel and glass, this wine now sings beautifully. Appealing aromatics of tropical fruits and dried herbs, a refreshing grapefruit-like acidity and a savoury length.
Produced in a restricted quantity, only a handful of bottles made it to the UK.
