After enjoying a lovely afternoon with Silvia Tezza on the calcareous hills of Lavagno last March, we are thrilled to share the new 2022 wines from Il Roccolo di Monticelli.
In the ancient vineyard sat between the Valpoliccela and Soave, Silvia creates a biodiversity heaven populated by different fruit plants, aromatic herbs, bees and a couple of goats and sheep. Since 2016, Silvia has farmed this land using biodynamic practices and herbal infusions, avoiding chemicals in the field.
This first release consists of Cinciallegra, Monticelli Bianco and Rosso, plus the superb olive oil produced with Silvia partner Kisha of Impronta Agricola. Despite the dry summer, the wines are graceful and fragrant, showing the depth of knowledge and skills reached by Silvia at her seventh harvest.
