The 2022 wines from Giovanni Bottazzi and Simone Fanton of Fora In Vigna have arrived!
Both active in the wine scene for the last couple of decades, in 2020 they took over two hectares of Vigna del Roccolo, a stunning forty years old vineyard planted on a calcareous hill facing south-east on the east side of the Colli Berici in Central Veneto. Surrounded by hills and benefiting from good exposure, the two friends can practice chemical-free farming with the utmost respect for nature.
From a dry year that resulted in dramatically low yields, we received the popular frizzante Bidon! Bidon!, this time in a gorgeous coral pink shade, and a handful of Pontaron, a shining white blend of skin contact and direct pressed Garganega.
Both at low abv and with a tonic character, these are wines we cannot wait to share in the warm season ahead.
